Maja e Arapit from the village of Okol
Maja e Arapit or Harapit is located near Thethi village in Albanian Alps and it’s well known for its 800 m high wall on southern face. The best to reach the summit is from the village of Okol when one would need to walk to Qafa e Pejes and then to the summit. The shortest way is to camp in Qafa e Pejes.
The climb to the summit is a bit difficult because of the rocky and karst terrain. There is no path from Qafa e Pejes to the summit but we found some stony signs on the way.
In the foot of this mountain is located the cave with the same name. This is a vertical cave that goes generaly up and is explored up to 365 m.
