Recently I was in the beautiful city of Vlora which is a popular destination during the summer time due to its coast line. While the city center is nice with paved roads, palms and restaurants, the periphery looks very poor and interesting to be visited. Well, they might be strange places for some people to visit but as you might know I like to see unusual places. The pictures below will cover some parts of the city center and some parts from an informal area (Pylli i Sodes) populated mostly after ’90 (after communism) by people coming mostly from the villages and building their houses in an area which is supposed to be polluted by mercury from the former plant working during the communism time.
